Available programs include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. The programs in computer science and healthcare administration are brand new to the university with inaugural enrollment sessions of fall 2020.

For graduate degrees online, the university offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Arts in Leadership, a Master of Science in Kinesiology, and a Master of Arts in Sports Management. William Jessup University is a California university in Rocklin with a student body population of more than 1740 students. The university has an additional campus in the city of San Jose, California. The university’s official motto is “Transforming Tomorrow Today,” and the institution considers itself a Christian liberal arts university. The university’s endowment is $1.1 million.

The university is named after a former student of Evangel Bible University who worked to create San Jose Bible College, which would eventually become William Jessup University. Today, there are seven schools and divisions operating within the university, as well as two institutes that include the Institute for Public Policy and the Institute for Bio-Diversity and the Environment. William Jessup University is regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission and first obtained this accreditation status in 2002 when it was renamed to San Jose Christian College. The school would adopt its present name a few years later.

The overall university is also accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation, which is an organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. William Jessup University doesn’t have a minimum set of academic qualifications for students who want to apply for first-year entry, but it does recommend that students pursue a rigorous high school curriculum. Admissions at the university are based on the student’s academic record, moral character, supporting documents, and the student’s willingness to adhere to the university’s code of conduct.

To prepare for college-level work, the university recommends that students take four years of English, six years of natural and social science, three years of mathematics, two years of a foreign language, and four years of academic electives in math or science. Students who submit their application by the initial deadline will pay no application fee, but late applications after the deadline will require a $75 payment.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Full-time tuition at William Jessup University is $18,000 per semester for 12 to 18 units. Students who enroll in part-time study will pay $1,520 per unit. The cost for credit hours above 18 is $91 per unit. Students may audit a class for $30 per unit, and summer session classes range from $410 to $525 per unit. Room options for undergraduate students vary in cost from $2,450 to $2,960 per semester.

Meal plans also vary in cost from $645 per semester to $2,960 per semester. Commuting students who don’t live on campus are eligible to purchase a ten-block of meals for $170. Living in an apartment for the summer is $2,000. Other student fees include an enrollment deposit fee of $250, a housing deposit of $150, and an orientation fee of $100. There are also some course-specific fees like a $430 applied music fee and a $150 recording fee.

Financial aid for students at William Jessup University is available from the institution, from the federal government, from the state, and from private sources. Students who demonstrate financial need may receive a Federal Pell Grant or a Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant from the federal government. State aid includes the Cal Grant B, which is an award of $1,672 for the first year and $10,756 for each remaining year of undergraduate school.
