George Fox University was founded as a school for Quakers in 1885, but now is the second-largest private university in Oregon. The university is located in Newberg, Oregon, which is more or less in-between its campus centers in Salem and Portland. George Fox University Application Requirements
In order to be admitted to any graduate program, applicants must have a four-year degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants whose GPA is below 3.0 may be considered for admission, but they may be placed on academic probation. Graduate programs’ application requirements may differ. For example, those who apply for one of the graduate counseling degrees do not have to have an undergraduate degree in the field of psychology. Instead, they need to submit a work resume, a written admission statement, two references, an official transcript and Miller Analogies Test (MAT) results. Tuition and Financial Aid
The annual tuition for full-time undergraduate students is approximately $33,400, but most incoming freshmen receives $24,200 in financial aid. There is a one-time enrollment deposit of $300 and annual student-body fee of $220. Room and board cost $10,500 and books cost approximately $475 per semester. Graduate program costs vary depending on the department. A full-time MBA student will pay around $764 per semester hour and will pay two course fees of $150. Students of the Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling program will pay $650 for tuition per semester hour. All uninsured graduate students must pay $1,750 for university sponsored health insurance.
Most students receive an average financial aid package of $24,163. Merit scholarships are automatically awarded to qualifying students based on their academic performance, which includes SAT, ACT and GPA scores. These awards range from $7,000 to $17,000 every year. Due to the fact that financial aid admissions can close because of student demand, students must apply early to maximize scholarship opportunities.
