In this article, we profile the top 30 most affordable online master’s in human resources degree programs.

According to the United States Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics – Occupational Handbook, employment of human resource managers is projected to grow nine percent through the year 2026. As new organizations form and expand operations, HR professionals will likely be needed. To secure employment, graduate degrees in HR are also needed. We’ve reviewed colleges and universities that offer online HRM master’s or closely related programs. Our methodology is included below.

We reviewed over 125 colleges and universities that offered master’s in human resources degrees online. We narrowed our pool of schools by selecting for evaluation only accredited (nationally and regionally) institutions with graduate tuition and fees of less than $26,000 per year. We collected the most recent data, including tuition and fees, from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES College Navigator) and listed the schools in order of affordability. As an added indicator, we tried to select only institutions and programs that had received rankings or recognition from major publications like U.S. News and World Report.
