University of Massachusetts Lowell Application Requirements
Students who are applying to join one of the undergraduate degree programs at the University of Massachusetts Lowell can apply either online or by mail. The university offers a rolling admissions schedule to allow students to apply throughout the year. Students must also submit a non-refundable $60 application fee with their application.
After submitting their applications students should request that all high school or college transcripts be sent to the Online and Continuing Education office at the University. Once the application has been received alongside all other relevant documents, applicants will be sent a confirmation letter from the university.
Students who wish to apply to the graduate school will follow a separate application procedure. Admission in a graduate program at the university requires the completion of a bachelor’s or baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Students must be able to submit an official transcript from the degree awarding institution. To apply for entry into a graduate program, students must submit the following materials to the Graduate Admissions Office:

- Letter of Intent
- Letters of Recommendation
- Undergraduate transcripts
- Test Scores (TOEFL, GMAT, GRE etc.)

The University of Massachusetts Lowell is not authorized to issue online degrees for students from the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, or Minnesota. As a result, the school is not currently accepting applications from residents of these states.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is assessed by each credit hour that a student undertakes.Undergraduate online courses are current set at a fee of $370 per credit hour. Graduate online courses are set at $570 per credit hour. MBA online courses are set at $630 per credit hour. These fees are not inclusive of mandatory fees, books, or other costs that may be associated with specific degree programs.

Master of Science in Finance
The Master of Science in Finance degree is a new degree at the university for the fall of 2015. The degree has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business which is a prestigious accreditation offered to only a select few business programs in the world.
Students who wish to apply for this graduate program must complete undergraduate level courses in microeconomics, financial accounting, and business financial analysis to qualify for admission. Ideally, these courses should be completed with a grade of B- or higher. These courses are prerequisites required for admission only and are not eligible for credit for the program.
To complete this program, students will be required to take 10 courses: five required core courses and five elective courses. The required courses include:

Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
The University of Massachusetts at Lowell offers an online MBA through the Robert J. Manning School of Business. This program has been awarded accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The program has also been ranked by the Princeton Review as a Best Business School and as a Best Buy by GetEducated.com. This degree is made up of 10 to 16 courses. The number of courses a student is required to take will depend on their educational background. Students can complete the degree online or take a combination of online and classroom courses. The degree offers students the option to complete a General MBA or to choose a concentration in Finance, Information Technology, or Accounting.
