Drury University Accreditation Details
Drury University has been fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (NCA), which is the recognized regional accrediting body for the Midwestern United States. Furthermore, a number of Drury’s degree programs have been accredited by national associations. Education degrees are approved by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Business programs have been given the stamp of approval by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Music degrees at Drury University have also been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
Drury University Application Requirements
At Drury, the selection process is selective and only students who have pursued a challenging college preparatory curriculum will be accepted. In the applications process, students must submit their standardized testing scores, official high school or college transcripts, and a two-page writing sample. Although Drury University has a rolling admissions policy, applications must be received at least 60 days prior to the semester start date for processing. Incoming freshmen are welcome to apply any time after completing their junior year.
For admissions, Drury University requires that students have maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all high school and college coursework. Students must be high school graduates with at least three years of math, four years of English, three years of social studies, three years of natural science, and two years of foreign language. Drury students are also typically high academic achievers with an average ACT score of 26 and average SAT score of 1700. Drury will accept an unlimited number of credits for students who have completed AP courses too.
Transfer students interested in joining the Drury community must be transferring from a fully accredited community college or university with an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher. Submitting ACT or SAT scores will be optional for any transfer students who’ve earned 30 or more transferable college credits in the United States. International students are also welcome to apply to Drury, but they’ll need to submit scores from the TOEFL or IELTS exams to show English proficiency.
Online students also must meet some technical requirements before being admitted to any of the distance learning programs. Students must have access to a computer capable of interacting in the Blackboard online classroom. Online learners must have a word processor that can save files in an html or webpage format for submitting assignments. Of course, students must also have a computer that can connect to the Internet via dial-up modem or cable/DSL.
Tuition and Financial Aid
While Drury’s traditional day school costs $23,885 each semester, students who are enrolling in the online degree programs through the College of Continuing Professional Studies (CCPS) will pay a different tuition rate. At the undergraduate or graduate level, the online tuition price is $294 per semester credit hour. Online students should also expect to pay a $27 academic fee each semester, $5 student technology fee per credit, and $110 one-time orientation fee. Drury’s payment plan requires that students have 25% of their semester balance paid before logging on to their online classes.
After filing their FAFSA form, Drury students have many options of financial aid for affording these tuition expenses each semester. Drury University accepts Direct Subsidized, Direct Unsubsidized, Direct Parents PLUS, Perkins, Grad PLUS, and alternative private loans. Drury students may also qualify for receiving the Federal Pell Grant, Access Missouri State Grant, FSEOG Grant, or TEACH Grant as well as numerous university scholarships. In particular, online students can apply for the CCPS Scholarship, Archie and Marion Russell Scholarship, or Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.

Bachelor of Business Administration
At Drury, the Bachelor of Business Administration program is delivered in a convenient online format with the goal of providing a broad-based introduction to today’s business fundamentals and their real-world applications in the global economy. Within the Breech School of Business, students will take a total of 124 credits of coursework ranging from statistics and cultural diversity to organizational behavior and management information systems. BBA students can choose a major in Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or Management based on career goals.
Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
In the Behavioral Sciences Department, the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program is offered 100% online for undergraduate students seeking to prepare for a number of career options in law enforcement, corrections, forensic science, law, and security. Within the context of an interdisciplinary liberal arts foundation, students are informed on the different dimensions of human behavior and mental processes for use in investigations. Courses will cover topics in criminology, behavioral science, research methods, victimology, law, forensic science, juvenile delinquency, judicial processes, and psychology.
Bachelor of Science in Health Services
The Bachelor of Science in Health Services is available as an online degree completion program for registered nurses, radiological technologists, physical therapy assistants, emergency medical services personnel, respiratory therapists, and other health-related workers.
