In this article, we profile the top 50 most affordable online graduate education programs for 2017.

While teachers are not required to hold a master’s in education in the United States, there are many benefits to obtaining a graduate education degree. Ranking the Most Affordable Online Master’s Degrees in Education

This is a list of the top 50 most affordable online graduate education degree programs offered by accredited colleges and universities–ranked in order of raw affordability. The education programs listed below are accredited online graduate education programs with annual tuition and fees below $17,000. We looked at 278 accredited institutions listed by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) College Navigator and U.S. News and World Report that offered at least one master’s in education online program. We verified accreditation and program rankings with U.S. News and World Report. From this pool of schools, we selected the 50 most affordable online education programs.

Below is our list of the top 50 most affordable online graduate education programs listed in order of affordability.
