About Salisbury University
Salisbury University originated on September 7, 1925, when President William J. Holloway welcomed an inaugural class of 105 to the two-year Maryland State Normal School. In 1934, the Normal School extended its curriculum inspired by Columbia’s Teachers College to four years. In 1935, it became the Maryland State Teachers College with a new Bachelor of Science. Salisbury University Application Requirements
Enrolling at Salisbury University is classified “moderately difficult” by Peterson’s because 5,585 of the 8,983 Fall 2018 applicants were triumphant for only 62 percent acceptance.
